This video will show you how to replace the trigger buttons, R/L shoulder buttons. There is an easy way (replace the mechanism) or a more tedious way; clean the existing ones you have. Both techniques are shown in this video. Cleaning the buttons works 100% of the time if done correctly but the process can be very delicate.
You can purchase the replacement 3ds trigger buttons on ebay for cheap. This makes the repair very easy and simple.
Tools required:
-size 00 Philips screwdriver
-dull razor blade (or thin prying tool)
-pic style driver
You may be able to use different types of tools, this video just gives you the idea and process.
